DSDN 144 Project 1- Space

Second photo shoot finals-

These are the photos I feel are successfully working well as a set and are using the techniques my artist models have used in their photos. This time around when taking photos, I seemed to be more drawn to this particular area of Kelburn Campus because of the seats there that help to create an empty and lonely feeling that I want to have in my photos. The way the seats have been arranged to help this space to have that unused and lifeless feel to it. All my photos I feel are showing certain properties of the artist models I have taken a liking too.

Edward Bertinskys use of showing space by making the format of his photos landscape has been portrayed across all my photos in this set. Having these photos in landscape helps to show a much more wider view of the space and enhance the feelings you want to convey.

Andrew Ross's use of objects to help show his idea has been taken and used in my photos. Some of the objects I have used to help convey my idea of emptiness are the benches and chairs. The empty chairs and benches give off that unused feeling and this helps to convey my idea of emptiness in my photos.

Andrew Ross used lights to help his photography stand out. Even though the ability to alter light was minimal when doing this second photo shoot because of the interference of the rain, small areas of light managed to come through some of my photos. For example in photos 3, I managed to capture the lamp light casting a small light over the middle part of the benches to act as a focal point for the image.
